2 things.......
#1 - Its a skirt, unless you are Scottish. Then it is a kilt. Outside of Scotland, you are wearing a dress. (why do 90% of non-Scottish dress wearers have beards???)
#2 - Fixed Gear bikes are for the track. You are a retard if you ride one on the street. You are a retard AND a poser if you have super tiny handlebars and pink Deep V's with cards in your wheels.
All for now.

Is rap dead???
I listened to some shitty music in the 80's (anyone remember Cameo??), but the level that rap has sunk to has got to be an all time low. Think back when Metal died, soft rock at its height and other genres of music that suddenly went away. They got sooooo bad that you had to stop listening. The 3 songs below epitomize the downfall....
A bay bay: http://www.lyricwiki.org/Hurricane_Chris:A_Bay_Bay
Party like a rock star: http://www.lyricwiki.org/Shop_Boyz:Party_Like_A_Rock_Star
Soulja boy:http://www.lyricwiki.org/Soulja_Boy:Crank_That
What happened to groups like Tribe Called Quest, Erik B and Rakim, hell even 50 Cent? Give me something with substance.............and push Lil' John under a bus! No more crunk, no more rap dances, no more giant jerseys.

Last race of the year
a fun season with loads of chill guys on the team to race with. No wins for me for the first time in a few years, but some solid placings. Given the fact that I was putting in 4-5 hours training per week as opposed to the 12-15 in years past, that's not too shabby.
All for now. See you on the cross course.

Dopers!!!
“Earlier in the day, commissioner Bud Selig announced he won't punish Giambi because of the slugger's charitable work and cooperation with baseball's steroids investigator. Giambi has acknowledged a "personal history regarding steroids." He agreed to speak with former Sen. George Mitchell last month after Selig threatened to discipline him if he refused to cooperate. "He's doing a lot of public-service work, and I think that's terribly important," Selig said. "I think it's more important for us to keep getting the message out. He was, I thought, very frank and candid with Sen. Mitchell, at least that was the senator's conclusion. Given everything, this is an appropriate decision."
2 things.........
2 things I will never do:
1 - Wear "Crocks" shoes
2 - Wear a blue tooth headeset
All for now. More soon.

Baby Jessica
- Baby Jessica in the well
- Mt. St. Helens eruption
- Hurricane Katrina and the super dome
- Paris Hilton in Jail
We watched a video of Baby Jessica 20 years later (who is now 21, married to a 45 year old dude with a kid of her own - true redneck style). She danced her own baby on the well she fell in. Wow.
Here's the official commemorative painting of the event (yes, believe it, an official commemorative painting!)

RACE SEASON!!!

Frankfurt
Check out the only 2 photos I have. One in our hotel bar with "Das Hounds". The bar folks loved us. We capped off each night there and entertained them with our witty banter (re: drunkenness). Also a pic of my favorite clothing store there, "Wormland". Kind of like a Barneys, but German. They've got all the cool shit, plus some dissed German techno crap. When in Rome............
Exercise went to shit. No bike, some running, but mostly drinking, eating and standing at a show booth in a smoky trade show hall. The show kicked ass and our company is far more awesome than the others there that it makes it easier for all, no matter how tiring it was.
Did get out today for almost 5 hours on the bike. Can you believe this weather here?!?!? Sunny and nearly 60 degrees!! How awesome is that? Didn't even phase me that I blew out a tire and had to walk to the bike shop and stepped on my glasses in process. On a piss rainy day, I'd have chucked my bike in a ditch!! I'm pretty beat now, but generally psyched with my fitness, considering I haven't seen a bike in 3 weeks except in magazines.
Best part of the ride was some crusty old man telling us "you boys look cute in your outfits" in sort of a Deliverance way. I told him that the only one he has a chance with is Seth.
All for now. Good to be back. Need a nap.

Still Funny.........
Gaggioli suspended for remainder of the season
US based professional cyclist Roberto Gaggioli (Monex) has been suspended for the rest of the season by USA Cycling after a disciplinary hearing found him guilty of assaulting another competitor at a race on May 1, 2004. The incident happened at the Cheaha Challenge event in Anniston, Alabama, where Gaggioli had an argument with Jonny Sundt after the race, which led to Gaggioli attacking Sundt with a 2x4. Sundt defended himself with his bicycle, which was damaged in the process.
The disciplinary hearing was conducted on May 28 with representatives from USA Cycling, the UCI, Roberto Gaggioli and Jonny Sundt present. The outcome of the hearing was that Gaggioli received a ban from participating in any USA Cycling or UCI events from May 31 to December 31, 2004. The ban includes participating as a rider or a manager, although he can show up as a spectator.
"Unfortunately, there have been other incidents where riders have fought at a cycling event," USA Cycling's chief of staff Sean Petty told Cyclingnews. "It's a disturbing trend this year where we have seen several fights recently. There is no place for this type of behaviour in cycling or any other sport.
"We hope that suspending Mr. Gaggioli and any others involved in instigating fights at USA Cycling events will send a message that we take these matters seriously and will take action no matter who the rider is.

WIND STORM 2006!!!
We rode the lake today and went over Juanita. It was a total mess. Trees, power lines, smashed cars, and crap all over the road. The picture above is of Bob and Anton standing next to an uprooted tree from my cell phone. The tree was massive, check out the size of its roots!
It's much calmer out now, but still cold. Looking forward to getting a few more hours in tomorrow on the bike. Felt pretty good today considering I've been off the bike for 2 weeks.

Mr. Buddy hates winter
Here's a picture of the street outside my house. 1" of solid ice. Extra sketchy driving.
Check out Mr. Buddy on his post. He sits here and stares out the window all pissed off. He hates the cold almost as much as I do.
The good news is the winter storm is over!!! I can actually ride outside this weekend. Hopefully I'll get 6-7 hours without getting pissed on by rain. Mr. Buddy can go out and fight raccoons again.
