Is rap dead???

I listened to some shitty music in the 80's (anyone remember Cameo??), but the level that rap has sunk to has got to be an all time low. Think back when Metal died, soft rock at its height and other genres of music that suddenly went away. They got sooooo bad that you had to stop listening. The 3 songs below epitomize the downfall....

What happened to groups like Tribe Called Quest, Erik B and Rakim, hell even 50 Cent? Give me something with substance.............and push Lil' John under a bus! No more crunk, no more rap dances, no more giant jerseys.
