Stupid Airports!
So I got up at 5:30 to catch my 9am flight at the airport here in Hong Kong. That sucked, especially after staying out till 1:30 and drinking with a vendor. And I had to pack. Basically shoved everything into my suitcase at random and bolted.
Hopped in a cab at 6am, argued with the cab driver to take me to the train station and not directly to the airport (if he drives the whole way it's a$250HKD, the train is 90HKD). They always try to sucker you in and assume you are some stupid American (actually most are, see related Narita Airport guy post). To top the "suckness" off today so far, my flight was delayed by 2.5 hours. I could have slept in!!! Thank god for the 10 Starbucks that are here in the airport. Latte number 2 is kicking in.
I'm typing on a free internet kiosk as my lap top's e-mail exploded sometime last week. Without the blackberry and borrowing computers from some suppliers over here, I'd have been even more lost than I actually am right now.
For those keeping score, my fitness is also at an early season low, after 12 days of no riding and fighting "Mao's revenge" (food poisoning). Looking forward to riding soon.
All for now. Some sketchy Chinese guy next to me keeps sneezing and just farted. It smells like stale tofu so I have to leave. I probably just contracted SARS.
